Psychosynthesis in Russia

Members of the Transcultural Network and those of us closely involved with Psychosynthesis in Russia would like to share with you some of the joys and satisfactions we have experienced helping our Russian colleagues bring an integral humanistic and spiritual approach to their people's struggle. Our hearts have broadened, our lives enriched, by being part of this project of international exchange. We would like to invite you to join us.

The International School for Psychotherapy, Counseling and Group Leadership in St. Petersburg, Russia is at the growing edge of Psychosynthesis. Our Russian friends at Harmony (the parent organization of the school) have overcome many obstacles and have successfully created a school that brings soul into the fields of medicine, psychological and social services, education, and business. Its aim is to teach professionals and educators in the human service field so they may in turn help the people of their nation move away from totalitarian thinking and repression, and toward freedom, creative Self-expression, and peace.

As a fulfilment of Assagioli's vision of Global Psychosynthesis, individuals and groups from the US and other countries have joined together in support of this important work in the former Soviet Union. Without their contribution of time and money raised, the success of this project would be literally impossible.

It is easy to take for granted the educational opportunities in spiritual psychology and change technology which are available to us. Many professionals in Russia are now eager to learn new and effective ways to make the necessary changes to improve conditions in their country. Since 1952 over 5,000 people attended a training program given by Harmony or the School. They in turn have touched the lives of many more people. Because Russia is still unstable and there is little capital for people to pursue education outside of government control, our help is still needed. If you are interested in joining us and becoming a part of this team for supporting Global Psychosynthesis, here is what you could do:

  1. Donations of money, books, videos, computers are greatly needed.
  2. Support a student at the school. Half scholarships are $225 (US) a year (less than $20 a month).
  3. Join the supporting organization, the Transcultural Network.
  4. Put your name on a mailing list to receive a periodic newsletter reporting on the programs of the school and conditions in Russia.
  5. Keep this project in your thoughts, prayers, and meditations.

All donations are tax-deductible. Checks can be made out to: Uniterra Foundation, note: Harmony, and sent along with your name, address, phone, fax, e-mail to:
