S.O.L.A.R.
A Brazilian Initiative
We are S.O.L.A.R., Portuguese language initials for "Latin American
Roberto Assagioli Psychosynthesis Society." We were born in early 1996 as
a non-profit organization.
Our main immediate goals are:
- 1. To promote the principles, methodology, achievements, and applicability of
Psychosynthesis in several fields, from education to psychology, from arts to
business management.
- 2. To promote networking and sharing of people linked to Psychosynthesis in
Brazil, other parts of Latin America, and the world at large.
- 3. To serve society through Psychosynthesis as a powerful source for enhancing
and increasing man's consciousness about himself, Nature, and life at large.
Our primary future goal:
- 4. To train people (professionals from the health field, education, psychology,
and business management) in Psychosynthesis, by establishing the first
Psychosynthesis Training Center in Brazil. This will be sought after partially
through agreements and alliances with reliable institutions abroad.
Our People
We were established by a small but enthusiastic group of people, including
psychologists, educators, one Huber method astrology expert, one international
writer, Ph.D. and teacher at the University of São Paulo, the largest in
Brazil.
Some of us have taken courses in Psychosynthesis in London, Florence, and in
Brazil with Edith Stauffer. Our first president, who holds a two-year term, is
Elisa Guerra Malta Campos, who led our delegation to the Psychosynthesis
for the Next Century Conference in San Diego, in July, 1996.
We believe Psychosynthesis is a dramatic and blessed source for the evolution of
humanity in our age. And we also believe it is perfectly fit for the Brazilian
people, because of our specific attitude and availability for personal and
evolutionary growth work. Thus we are certain it has a dramatic potential for
Brazil and we want to honor our role by contributing for it to happen among us.
What We Seek
We are sure that networking is the key for our times of transition. Therefore, we
plan to establish as many contacts as possible with other international groups
and individuals. We believe in sharing. We believe the Divine Wisdom guides our
paths beyond logic or rationale.
That is why we seek the opportunity to say who we are and what we expect. And we
want to update ourselves with the Psychosynthesis community. From these contacts
we expect that initial talks will develop for future alliances, joint ventures,
and networking. We have something to receive from all of you and we also have
something to share with you.
